Shri. C.N. Vijayaragavan joined the services of this Institute as Console Operator on 22nd December 1983. He was redesignated as Junior Systems Officer on 25th July 1986. He was promoted as Technical Officer (Systems) on 1st April 1993 under the Recruitment and Career Development Scheme (RCDS). He was Promoted as Technical Officer Gr. I (Systems) (P) on 1st April 2005 under the Recruitment and Career Progression Scheme (RCPS). He was appointed as Deputy Systems Engineer/Officer on 3rd May 2011.

Shri. Vijayaragavan became a DAAD Fellow for pursuing M.Tech in Industrial Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany from August 1990 to September 1992. He was Involved in Data processing work for GATE (1987-1990) and for JEE (1994-1999). In the late 90s, he conducted COBOL, JCL and CICS training for Software Companies to solve the Y2K issue (1998- 2000).

Shri. Vijayaragavan was made in charge of ISO-internal audit, Surveillance audit and Management review meetings in 2001. He was in charge of the computer network for the Hostel Zone from 2003 to 2009 and was in charge of PC Cell from 2007 to 2016.

Shri. Vijayaragavan has been a cooperative and congenial colleague and has carried out his work well.

The Faculty, Staff and Students of IIT Madras in general and the Computer Centre in particular, wish Shri. Vijayaragavan, a long, happy, healthy and prosperous future and success in all his endeavours.
