Shri. C. Rajendran joined the services of the Institute as Lower Division Clerk and was redesignated as Junior Assistant on 15 October 2004 under the Recruitment and Career Progression Scheme (RCPS). He was given a financial upgradation on 15 October 2014 under the Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPS). He was subsequently promoted as Senior Assistant on 23 December 2015 under the Recruitment and Promotion Norms (RPN).

Prior to serving the Institute, Shri. Rajendran had worked in Office of Hostel Management between July 1984 and October 2004. During his subsequent tenure at IIT Madras, Shri. Rajendran was posted to work in various Sections and Departments including Stores & Purchase Section, Taramani Guest House, GATE /JAM Office, and lastly in the Computer Centre.

Shri. C. Rajendran has been associated with the Computer Centre since 2017. He was instrumental in streamlining the process of the collection of information on the various activities of the centre, compiling the data and the preparation of presentations. He has helped the centre in a big way while collecting and consolidating the yearly activities summaries for the preparation of annual report. He has been very systematic and meticulous in the important administrative tasks in the department like the preparation of SRB entries, purchases and settlements and other such activities. On all these fronts, Shri. C. Rajendran has discharged his duties diligently and with utmost dedication. With his sincerity, pleasing manners and hard work, he has earned the admiration of all who interacted with him in the Computer Centre. His positive approach, non-controversial attitude and pleasing manners earned recognition for himself from staff, officers and the faculty members.

The Faculty, Staff, and Students of IIT Madras in general and the Computer Centre in particular, wish Shri. C. Rajendran a long, happy, healthy and prosperous future and success in all his endeavours.
