Ms. Lakshmi Venkatesan served the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in the Computer Centre for over twenty-three years. She began her journey on 24 December 1980 as a Key Punch Operator, where she contributed to the institute’s growing data processing operations. On 1 April 1994, she was re-designated as Senior Key Punch Operator, and on 24 December 1996, she advanced to Senior Key Punch Operator (SG). Continuing her professional growth, she was re-designated as Senior Data Processor (SG) on 31 October 2001.

Retired from service on 01.01.2004.
